BCEC Presents: The Good Place to Network
I created a comprehensive marketing timeline and our committee planned the logistics for a Q&A panel + networking event, with professionals from companies such as Lucasfilm, Pixar, KQED, and more attending. Putting on this event was especially challenging, since it was initially cancelled due to large-scale PG&E power outages, forcing us to re-plan every detail of the event; however, my committee members pulled it off with tenacity and enthusiasm, making it a memorable event.

Adobe Premiere Pro Workshop
One of my goals for the semester was to introduce my committee members to the production and post-production aspects of film. I assembled and taught a Hollywood 101 crash course to my members, covering everything from studio hierarchies to financing a project to basic scriptwriting and camera operation, giving them a hands-on opportunity to pick up a camera and shoot a short film project within 30 minutes. I also taught an Adobe Premiere Pro workshop alongside the Director of the TV Committee and a Media Committee member. We demonstrated the layout of the software, how to import clips, timeline management, clip trimming, adjusting audio levels, and more.

BCEC x Warner Bros. Presents: Doctor Sleep
My committee and the TV Committee partnered with marketing representatives at Allied Integrated Marketing to plan a promotional event for Warner Bros.’ film Doctor Sleep. This event also had to be re-planned due to the PG&E power outages, but it ended up being a success as well! We hosted coffee and donut catering companies and distributed Doctor Sleep merchandise at our booth on UC Berkeley’s Sproul Plaza, attracting hundreds of students throughout the day.
YouTube Channel
Staying true to my mission to give my committee members more hands-on production experience, we planned, filmed, and edited original videos for the club’s YouTube channel. Check out some of the videos we published!
